wrong letters in rdesktop and linrdp

hallo!

when i'm using the program rdesktop (or linrdp) the letter 'i' is
displayed as an '!'. also some other characters are displayed wrong.

i tested both programs in mandrakelinux 10.0 and fedora core 2.

can someone help me to find a solution for the problem.

which character set do you use?

i have already received a solution for the problem:


The Xserver you are using has a broken acceleration-implementation.

Put the following in your device-section of your XF86Config:
Option "XaaNoMono8x8PatternFillRect"
