I bought a Linksys WRT54G and I followed the installation instructions
correctly. However, I get to the step where it asks me for the
password...which there is one already in there...I click ok and it tell me
"configuring system info"...it goes from 0% to 100% then my computer freezes
up for a minute and it asks me for the password again. I have tried changing
the password to "admin, password, my name, my own password of numbers" and
nothing happens. It sends me in that cycle over and over again. Where asking
for the password and then "configuring system." Anyway, you catch the drift.
However, my laptop can find the connection and it shows it as 100% but it
tells me "Cannot find server" when I open up windows explorer. What can I do
to fix this?

Hi
Try to do Hard Reset, and reconfigure.
Does not help? Log to Linksys support download the latest firmware and
flash it to the router.
Does Not Help? Call Tech Support, you might need RMA.

I had a similar problem, Linksys ran me around the moon more than once..
saying finally that the router may be bad ?. gave up on them and called my
DSL server, tech had me reconfigure both dsl modem and router, problem
fixed...
