Write behind only applies to local storage at a lower level than the
filesystem (sectors in partition level).
There is absolutely no effect of this local setting over files opened from a
remote server but it does have an effect on files opened by remote computers
on the local one (if acting as file server).
Using a mapped drive makes no difference - in the end the redirector turns
all paths/filenames from mapped drives into UNC format and that's all that
matters.
