Double check. That would be my guess:

Make sure the "802.11g only mode" is "disabled". Make sure "SSID
Broadcast" is enabled or you will not see the access point SSID.
Oh yeah, be sure to check if the wireless part is even turned on:

See "Wireless Radio" which should be "on".

They do answer the phone (eventually). I assume you mean that you
wasted a few hours trying to get them to solve this problem.

That won't make any difference because the WPC11 scans the channels
for available access points.

The settings shown on the DI-624 online router emulator are the
defaults. You might wanna compare your settings to see where you went
awry.

If all else fails, rest to defaults, reconfigure the LAN and WAN, and
effectively start over.
