That isn't necessarily true.
If you look at these two links you'll notice that June 30, 2010 when support
for Windows 2000 ends. Look at the Window Server Product Life Cycle and
you'll see there is still paid support, and you'll still be able to get
security hotfixes free through March 31, 2007 to all customers.
