Hi,
I am not familiar with the Intel chip, but from experience working with
two different 54G cards, you need more than just the driver in order to
use WPA in Windows - you also need a component called the "supplicant".
Windows WPA patch (free download) and Odyssey client (free 30-day trial)
from funk.com are supplicants that I have tried and found to work with
WRT54G.
If you run WZC, even if your WPA preshared keys don't match but you have
the correct SSID, Windows should at least be able to detect the AP and
give you an indication of radio strength. Also, for easier
troublshooting, you may want to temporarily turn on SSID broadcast so
that WZC can pick up your AP.
Good luck.
