Workstation Networking Issues-Network Starts Last

Increasingly some workstations (XPSP2) are boot so that the network/network
icon loads last. Therefore once a user logs on it may take 1-2 minutes until
any network access is achieved and the can browse, open Outlook etc... I
have played with the network providor order and a host of other settings but
to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas?

You should turn on the gpo "always wait for the network..."
So it won't let any user log in before the network is ready
