I have 4 computers in a domain with a 2003 Server as DC.

lately 2 of the computers cannot browse the network through my netowrk
places. I get to the entire network and double click on the domain computer
icon but no computers can be seen.

I have tried rejoining the computers to the domain, resetting the computer
account, renaming the computer and deleting and adding new user accounts but
still does not work.

The only thing that i noticed was an error message on the log of the server
about a master browser election with one of the other computers on the
network.

Could this be the cause of the problem. I have included some of the error
messages from the server logs.

EVENT ID 5723

The session setup from computer 'STAFF2' failed because the security
database does not contain a trust account 'STAFF2$' referenced by the
specified computer.

USER ACTION
If this is the first occurrence of this event for the specified computer and
account, this may be a transient issue that doesn't require any action at
this time. Otherwise, the following steps may be taken to resolve this
problem:

If 'STAFF2$' is a legitimate machine account for the computer 'STAFF2', then
'STAFF2' should be rejoined to the domain.

If 'STAFF2$' is a legitimate interdomain trust account, then the trust
should be recreated.

Otherwise, assuming that 'STAFF2$' is not a legitimate account, the
following action should be taken on 'STAFF2':

If 'STAFF2' is a Domain Controller, then the trust associated with 'STAFF2$'
should be deleted.

If 'STAFF2' is not a Domain Controller, it should be disjoined from the
domain.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

EVENT ID 5805

The session setup from the computer STAFF2 failed to authenticate. The
following error occurred:
Access is denied.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

EVENT ID 8003

The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer
SEANS that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport
NetBT_Tcpip_{E7092398-7F5E-44B2-996. The master browser is stopping or an
election is being forced.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

Is the problem at the server or workstation. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi thanks for your help. What I also did was to configure the server to be a
DHCP server and this has resolved the problem. (I was previously using a
DLink router as the DHCP server).
