I'm having a problem with a home network. I am using a
MN-700 Wireless G Base station. Connected to a ethernet
card on Computer 1 and a MN-730 Wireless G PCI Adapter on
Computer 2. Both computers are connected to the same
workgroup and have file sharing turned on. Computer 1
can see and access shared files on computer 2 as well as
access the internet. Computer 2 can access the internet
but cannot access shared files on computer 1. Do you
have any ideas as to how to remedy the situation? I have
tried everything that I can think of and I'm at my wits
end!! I have called in a computer tech support and he
can't figure out whats wrong either. Please help!

If you're running any software firewalls on your individual computers, that
could be the issue. Programs like those from Symantec or ZoneAlarm will do
this without the proper settings.

Disable the any external firewalls or XP firewall on
computer 1, which may help resolve your issue

Trying resetting up your network through XP on each
machine. This worked for me.
