I have a home network based on a d-link DI-624 wireless router, with two
desktops connected by cable, 3 desktops using d-link wireless adapters, and a
Dell laptop with built-in wireless. I am able to access shared files on the
various computers (except the laptop), and all the computers can "see" the
shared printer, and they are all able tho connect to the internet via the dsl
modem connected to the router. Heck, we can even play multiplayer Jedi
Outcast. But, when I go to My Network Places, and click "view network
computers" I get the following error: "Home is not accessible. You might
not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator
of this server to find out if you have access permission. The network path
was not found."
The coputers are all running XP Home with SP2. One of the "cabled" rigs is
running McAffee virsuscan; I think I've disabled Windows Firewall on all the
computers. Any Ideas?
