You can't - they need to authenticate using their domain accounts/passwords.
You might try setting up matching accounts/passwords in AD for each local
computer account you use, but I'm not sure that will work properly, and it
will be an immense pain.

Upgrade them to XP Pro and make sure you have enough CALs. Home does not
belong on a corporate network.

The computers don't need to be added to the domain. All that is required
is for the logged-on user to have credentials which are valid on the domain.
W9x machines can access domain resources and they can't join a domain
either.

Have you tried the method that many people use for W9x machines? Make
the workgroup name the same as the domain name. Set up user accounts for the
workgroup users in AD.

The user logs on to the workgroup with username/password. When they try
to access a Domain resource the DC checks their workgroup/username/password
against the AD database. Workgroup/username/password exactly matches a valid
domainname/username/password in AD and access is allowed.

No - it would be the NetBIOS name of the domain, which would likely be
DOMAIN in your example.

I still stand by my previous advice, tho.
