Wndows freezes when activating SSID

I installed a ASUS WL-100g. The driver-installation went
ok, Windows recognizes the card and all network protocols
(TCP/IP, Windows client) are ok.

I then installed the WLAN utility. Using Mobile Manager I
entered the SSID and saved a copy of the default
configuration. Then the problem starts: If I try to
activate the copy of the configuration using Mobile
manager, the laptop freezes. The laptop also freezes if I
try to apply a change of SSID using WLAN Card Settings or
just by starting Control Center.

Aanybody know a solution? Thanks in advance
