wmp54g win xp no connection

I've installed a pcmcia with no problems, but with the wmp54g in the pci
slot of my win xp pro configuration i cannot get any connectivity.

How come....

I first installed sp1 and after that WindowsXP-KB826942-x86.exe

What to do next?

I recently had the same problem. After reinstalling XP, I couldn't do
anything to get the card to see my router. XP found the card and the
drivers installed, but the light on the card never blinked, and I
couldn't get it to work.

I gave up. Went and bought a Microsoft wireless G card. It worked
immediately. Linksys should be ashamed of their poor XP support. A
quick search shows we're not the only ones.
