I have a HP Vectra with the above card installed. It works fine under XP.
I have just installed RedHat 9 in a dual-boot configuration and wish to
configure the card under Linux. I am running Comcast broadband with DHCP.
I have a Wireless-G Boadband router with two computers connected through
the ethernet ports on the back - one running XP and the other in dual-boot,
XP/Linux; the machine in question is the only wireless connection Can you
help?

If the card contains a Broadcom chipset (and I believe it does) you're out
of luck. Only a few 802.11g cards are supported on Linux at this time.

It has a Broadcom chipset, you are out of luck. So far, Linksys has not
supported Broadcom chips for Linux. The worst part about this is that the
freaking access points are reputed to have Linux in them.

I am not sure what is going on with Linksys and Broadcom but I will not buy
either product again until a Linux driver is available.

My WRT54G also works with Linux and Windows 2000 concurrently.

Yes so does mine - I was trying to say that the WRT54G seems to be running
Linux

I am having a similar problem with my linux router. I have a box
running e-smith set up as an SME router (server/gateway) with a
wireless-g pci card that I can hopefully get set up to broadcast to
the rest of my network. I am not sure where to get a driver to
install in e-smith to support this particular card. I know that
e-smith operates with a kernel that spawned from Redhat linux, so any
help locating a driver for the redhat kernel, or any information
regarding this issue would be a great help.

Thanks,

Ryan
