Hi there;

I have 2 windows 2003 servers that i tried to configure
them for WLBS, but for some reason I am able to ping the
clustor IP address within the same network where the 2
servers are connected to, but I can't ping them from
other networks. I have searched Microsoft & Cisco Sites,
but I didn't get the right answer, and what exactly that
I need to do either on my Windows 2003 Server or Cisco
Switch to make this works. Please help,

Thank you

WLBS (NLB in 2003) doesn't work with layer 3 switching. If your switches
allow it configure them to do only layer 2 switching.

How can I configure static ARP entry in the router on a
Cisco 6509?

Wouldn't it be easier to just plug the servers into a simple old Hub then
plug the hub into the switch? Then you don't need to reconfigure anything.

The servers have GB cards, and thehub support only up
100. Anyhow, let say I decided to do that. Do I have to
change anything on the registry? Thanks.

Well the point of it would be that you wouldn't have have to change anything
to start with so yes, you could put them back the way they were. I'm not
that familiar with what those changes do and I never like the hack the
registry over things I can do other ways. However it is true that the Hub
isn't as fast.
