station setup with no success. I had McAfee Online Virus
Protection and completely uninstalled the program. The
The wizard still gives me the same error. IFC is diabled.
I am running Windows XP Version 2002 Service Pack 1. I'm
able to connect to the internet and setup a network
adapter on my laptop but am unable to share the printer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Can you get into the default 192.168.2.1 base station IP in your browser?
The default password is "admin" without the quotes.

As for sharing your printer, first it must be shared on the computer to
which it is physically connected. If you're on Windows XP, you can go
through Help and Support, Search for "Share printer" and the wizard will
lead you through it.

Then on the other systems within your LAN, go into Printers and Faxes and
Add a new printer. You need to look for the connection to add A network
printer or a printer attached to another computer, then follow through the
steps to browse the LAN to computer which is hosting the printer, expand
that listing and select the shared printer.

Yes I can get to the base station using the IP address in
the browser.

The hand is underneath the printer icon so I know the
printer is set to shared. But when I try to add a printer
on the network laptop the printer is not in the dropdown
choice list. The laptop is OS is Windows 2000 if that
makes any difference.

It won't be in the drop-down list, Rowdy. You need to browse the LAN for
the computer it is connected to, and then open the little + icon next to
that computer to reveal it.

I'm late in this thread (and excuse me if I am off base) but you might want to
make sure the printer name does not include spaces... seems to me that can be a
problem IIRC.
