Wirless Router/PCI card distance question

If a wireless router has a range of 200mt and a wireless PCI card has a
range of 100mt can the two communicate in a network if they are 150mt apart.

I know the router signal can reach the PCI card, but will the return signal
from the PCI card reach the router?... or will the extra range of the router
pick up the weaker signal of PCI card?

Thanks for your time.

Trouble with PCI adapters is that the computer case shields the built in
aerial, limiting the signal.
All the claims of 200m range relate to outdoors and clear line of sight. But
real life situation depends on many objects reflecting the signal, you just
have to try. My wifi works at an acute angle trough two doubleglazed windows
between buildings 70m apart, but it took lot of time to work out the best
position for both the AP and the adapter.
Regards,
Martin
