Are there any DSL providers which _just_ provide DSL. As in

- 1 IP address
- DSL enable your phone-line

I want to be able to set up an email account with an email provider, and a
web-server likewise. Does any company do that?

Ben

BT broadband - NOT BT/Yahoo Broadband or BT Openworld.

Do they provide 1 IP address? I don't think they do. The BT Broadband "wires
only" service at almost £30 a month is over priced.

PlusNet certainly provides static IP and a no frills service choice
although, in terms of value for money, the concept of "wire only" seems a
bit passe.

Gareth.

Depends on whether you want the IP address to be static.

BTBB provide connectivity only, but you can't buy a static IP address from
them.

The OP didn't specify.
You can always use a DDNS name service with a dynamic address.

It's a bit hard to setup an email server on a dynamic ip address as a
lot of companies block mail from dynamic IP pools.

Metronet, cheap if you don't download too much.
Otherwise PlusNet is the best service and value, just don't bother with the
email etc if you don't want to.
Regards,
Martin
