wireless zero config service wont start automatically

after each reboot the wireless zero config service wont start
automatically,even though it is set to start automatically. because of this
after each reboot I cant see my wireless preferred network. Once computer is
rebooted I have no problems starting/stopping the service, it just wont start
automatically after computer is starte.
XP SP2
Please help.
any suggestions are highly appreciated
