wireless xbox

I've decided to set up a wireless G network--and am going to run my
xbox wirelessly w/ the bridge. Should I go ahead and buy the wireless
G bridge or stick w/ the cheaper 802.11b bridge. The bridge will
almost exclusively be used for the xbox. I know that the speed of the
dsl won't be affected by either, but is there compatibality issues
with using a 802.11b device---I know it'll work, but i've read some
places that using a 802.11b device on a G network will slow the whole
network down--basically I dont want to create a bottleneck with using
this on my xbox--I want the filesharing and etc to run at its max
possible speed.

Multi protocol wireless defaults to the speed of the slowest element in
the system. You do not need higher speed than -b for Xbox Live, it will
remain screwed up no matter the speed.
