wireless on, wireless off...

Hi,

Just to simplify a previous post...

I have a belkin adsl modem/wireless router, and connect to it from
various desktop/laptop machines.

The current problem seems to be that a signal is detected, for maybe 3
seconds, then it vanishes.. then it's detected again, and vanishes..
this goes on and on and it can't hold a connection at all. While this
is happening another machine can be connected and maintain their
connection totally... would this rule out the router as a source of the
problem??

Any ideas why this might be happening.. the signal strength is
medium/low.. but surely even if low signal it should maintain constant?

I'm using wpa encryption.. 54g mode (dual mode/b mode didn't seem to
change anything)
