Any wired router can be converted to a wireless router by adding a wireless
access point, but it's quite likely that the combination of buying a wired
router and a WAP separately will be higher than the cost of just buying a
wireless router now.
You could always purchase a wireless router and disable the radio
transmitter, then turn it back on again when you do have wireless clients to
connect to it.
