I was wondering if there is a way of having a USB wireless device (such
as the D-link DWL-G122 Wireless USB Adapter) work without it having to
be connected to a laptop or computer. It would be used to transmit
signal strength information from access points in the vicinity of the
USB device. Certainly, there is the question of a power source, but
disregarding that, is it possible?
