WIRELESS USB INSTALLATION

I'm trying to go wireless but am getting frustrated with
the installation of the wireless USB adapter. I've tried
two and both without success so am beginning to think that
the common point of failure is my Windows ME.

With both the D-Link DWL-120+ and the Belkin F5D6050u the
installation seems to go OK until you get to the end of
the re-start after installing s/w and h/w. Then I get the
message "The NDIS.VXD, NTKERN.VXD device loaders for this
device could not load the device driver. To fix this
click 'Update Driver' to update the device driver" When I
do that the system informs me that I have the latest
drivers already loaded.

So I could go round in endless cirlces ......

Any one give me a steer as to what I could do next???

Thanks

Rob.

the usb devices need to be seen before the utility loads the driver.
at least for the 120+ which hangs up 98se if its connected during bootup.
are the usb ports working ok? I would be interested in the 120+ if
it doesn't work out for you.
