Wireless uptake in Europe

Hi,
I am trying to find out the uptake of Wi-Fi networks and products by
home users.
I have looked for the information on the internet and most places ask
to be paid to obtain that type information.
I am looking for information on the European market ideally broken
down to different countries.
Any chance of anyone pointing to me to a place where I can get that
type of information for free or similar information.

You can find out about public hotspots by doing a Google search "wi fi
hotspots europe" (don't use the quotes on the search engine itself".

Finding out about the number of home networks will be a whole lot more
difficult. How would anyone know? Information on sales of wi-fi
equipment in particular countries *might* provide some help on that
score.
