I'm no expert, but the new driver for the MN 720 bus card adaptor does not
work as well as the older driver. I too had a degradation of signal. If
you read the thread I referred you to, you'll see that various solutions
were tried to no avail. I've reverted back to the older version of the
driver and advise you to do the same until SP-2 for XP (assuming you're
running XP) is released. If you need assistance rolling back the driver,
please reply to this thread.
The new driver may be optimized for SP-2 although I'm not sure how that
could be done. As I stated above, I'm no expert and am new to wireless
networking so please feel free to follow other advice from the more
experienced posters.
