Has anyone else noticed a considerable decrease in
wireless strength since the update to SP2? I have
horrible strength throughout my house now. Please help if
you know how to fix it.

Hi Craig:

Are you by chance using a MN 720 bus card adaptor? If so, read the thread
"MN 720 driver ver (3.60.70)". Last reply was posted this morning at 10:29
my time. If not, disregard.

Hi Craig:

I'm no expert, but the new driver for the MN 720 bus card adaptor does not
work as well as the older driver. I too had a degradation of signal. If
you read the thread I referred you to, you'll see that various solutions
were tried to no avail. I've reverted back to the older version of the
driver and advise you to do the same until SP-2 for XP (assuming you're
running XP) is released. If you need assistance rolling back the driver,
please reply to this thread.

The new driver may be optimized for SP-2 although I'm not sure how that
could be done. As I stated above, I'm no expert and am new to wireless
networking so please feel free to follow other advice from the more
experienced posters.

Regards.
