wireless trouble (WaveLan and DLink)

I have a bunch of WaveLAN (was lucent, then became Orinoco) Silver cards
that I've used
in various machines (Win98 desktop, Linux, Win98 laptop) without any
trouble.
WinXP seems to have problems though. The XP computer and my DLink 1000AP
access
point keep losing their connection. It's definitely not a distance problem
as the two
are just a few feet away.

The connection will be good for a few minutes, then nothing for a few
minutes more.

Any ideas?

Neil

Neil-

Try either upgrading or DOWNGRADING your firmware in your 1000AP+.

I had connection problems with my DWL-900AP+ that were solved by downgrading
the firmware. Seems like DLINK broke something in the last two versions of
the firmware.

Good luck!

Jeff-

I have similar problem, Orinoco Silver on Windows XP. A Netgear router.
The problem stars when I installed Windows XP.
