Hey, I have been trying to get my integrated wireless card on my
Toshiba Satellite pro 4600 to work, but ive had alot of problems. Im
running slackware 10.1, and my card is correctly detected with cardctl
ident, and the drivers are all loaded corectly, but my card isnt seen
with ifconfig or iwconfig. I loaded Slackware 10.1 before and my card
worked fine if i ran /etc/rc.d/rc.pcmcia restart, but now it doesnt
work at all! what could be the problem?

Thanks,

Petes

Are you sure it's a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4600?. It's the same I have
and it doesn't have wireless. Maybe there are two versions...

Don't know if there are 2 versions or whether it is just an extra cost
option but I have one and have the same issue with the wireless.
Toshiba told me it was 802.11b as the reason I can't make mine work but
the router *IS* 802.11b so so much for their tech support.

I run that machine with W2K Pro and no amount of tinkering will make it
actually DO anything. I gave up trying about 6 months ago and bought a
PC card for it.

Yes, there are two versions, the version you have with wireless and
the version I have without it, I have checked it. Sorry for the mistake.
