Wireless subnet in AD domain

Hi everyone,

People here are getting into wireless. Subsequently I have a Linksys
wireless network 'inside' my AD network. The Linksys WRT54G acts as a router
as follows:

AD network: 10.0.15.0/24 -> Linksys -> 192.168.0.0/24 wireless LAN

Clients on the wireless network receive their IP configuration from the
Linksys DHCP. As a result of this, they are not showing up in My Network
Places. (They do not have a DNS or WINS entry).

The question is, how can I get these clients registered in AD DNS and WINS??

Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated,

eddiec :-)

Eddiec-

There are options in Linksys DHCP to set the DNS and WINS servers sent to
the clients. Goto the setup page, adn I believe it's on the DHCP tab.

Actually, you would be better off just using the linky as a switch not a
router (unless this is the desired effect). First, get on the linksys setup
page and disable DHCP. Then, plug your network into the uplink port. Your
clients will get IPs from the DHCP for the rest of the LAN.

Turn off DHCP in the access point and use DHCP in the Windows server.
