Wireless stopped working on MR314

I have been using Netgear MR314 for over a year now. It has a wired
connection to an XP machine, wireless to win2k & win98 machines. Last
week, the connectivity between the router and wireless machines was
lost. The MA401 card on my win2000 has a blinking green unable to find
an access point.

I tried the following with no luck -

1. Re-booted router and cable modem.
2. Changed from infrastructure to adhoc mode.
3. Upgraded firmware for router.

Can anyone explain what is wrong here? Any known issues regarding
wireless connectivity for netgear MR314?

Strangely, when I use adhoc mode and have both wireless connected
machines up, I get connection. Still puzzled!
