Wireless signal booster

Anyone offer recommendations on a Wi-Fi signal boosting system for a
domestic install?

The router is in a workshop down the garden, and the signal in the house
just needs to be a bit stronger than it is in some areas.

Its a Draytek 2600G wireless router with 2 antennae, and I can only see
single antenna solutions?

Line of sight is obviously the best (ie, on a window ledge), how far
down the garden is the workshop?

Depends how many computers in te house you want to operate as to the
best way round the problem but you can get higher gain aerials (Some
legal implications and not sure for the draytek).

No, a PCI card (D-Link) in a desktop machine.

We want to add a laptop to the equation, to be used in the house, but
the signal seems to be very erratic in some parts.

About 20 metres.

One desktop, which is already on the network wirelessly, and soon, a
laptop. We've wandered around the house with a wireless enabled laptop,
and the signal wasn't too 'bright' in some areas, the furthest from the
workshop. Sods law of course governs that this is where we want to use
the laptop.

I am new to this group and this might have been suggested before

I found the Blue Peter style
http://www.freeantennas.com/projects...te2/index.html doubled my range.
You would need one for each of your antennas. worth a try for a few minutes
work. I used card and kitchen foil stuck on with Pritt Stick.
