For some reason my Netgear MA101 card decided to quit
connecting to my 2Wire WAP.

Out of desperation I reinstalled Win 98(1st)to see if
that would take care of the problem but it dosen't appear
to have worked.

Here are the current setting for my TCP/IP protocol:
Static IP: 172.16.xx.xxx
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
Gateway: 172.16.0.xx (the ip of the WAP)

Am I missing something? I am using a static IP because
that what I was using before when everything was working.

I tried having the IP assigned but all I got was a
169.254.xx.xx addy.

If the MA101 isn't able to connect to the access point at all, the
problem doesn't involve the IP address. Check the settings that are
specific to wireless networking: SSID, encryption key, channel number,
etc.

I have double checked my SSID and it matches the WAP

I am using Infrastructure mode so the channel is not an
issue.

I also turned off the encription key until I get
everything else back up then I will turn it back on.

BTW, my Belkin CF card in my Axim will no longer connect
either.

I have contacted 2Wire and they say that it is not an
issue with the WAP.
