Wireless scanning sfwr

Win XP
Laptop

My laptop works great at Starbucks. I would like to be able to scan for
SSID's and other WAP's. Currently, I have my SSID set for Any.

Is there a way to scan for SSID's?

Is there any shareware wireless scanning software on the net?
