Wireless Repeaters

In general, do wireless repeaters act as a true repeater or do
they act as a bridge?

I have a situation where I have two networks and I have a packet
sniffer running on network A, but I would like to be able to
sniff the traffic on network B. The networks are within the
range of wireless and have good line of site. The addresses are
on the same 192.168.0 network. I know that if I use a bridge, I
will only see the traffic that is directed to a pc on network A.

So the question is, if I use a wireless repeater, will I be able
to see the packets sent between 2 pc's on network b? Also, does
anyone know of any brands or models that do this?

Thanks,
Justin

A repeater repeats everything it hears.

Most bridges learn the MAC address of what's on each side of the bridge and
only forward packets to the other side of the bridge, based on MAC address,
when necessary.

Both do however repeat all broadcast packets heard.
