wireless reconnect after hibernation

I am running a home wlan in Windows XP using laptops.

When I resume from hibernation/suspend, there is a delay in the laptop
reconnecting to the network if there is a CD in the CD drive. The laptop
seems to read the CD before proceeding to connect to the network.

Is there a way to force the laptop to connect to the network before it
checks out the CD drive?

Thanks.

Jeff
