Anyone encounter the wireless signal auto turn off before?
All the while when the laptop is connected to a wireless device, it
last until I manually stop it.
But since yesterday, my wireless signal keep dropping due to the
wireless device was disabled automatically.

I have the Wireless Zero Config service turn off all the time.

I'm using IBM T43. Usually I just need to turn on the wireless device,
then it will connect to the preffered wireless automatically. It still
connect automatically, BUT, the wireless device will turn off
automatically after a few minutes.

Anyone have this experience and the solution for it?

Thanks.

Check the driver settings for your wireless NIC. I seem to recall a power
setting in there that controls this.

One of my clientds had the same problem. His longest connection was just
over 2 minutes.

Go to device manager
Select the wireless NIC (mine is Intel Pro Wireless 2915)
Right click, then select properties
Select ther Advanced Bar at the top
Ensure your wireless is switched on using the Fn and F5 buttons together
Then toggle the switch at the top of the properties page to wireless on
OK Ok etc to exit.

Immediately i reconnected my VPN and it stayed in for 25 minutes on the test
laptop, so i am now giving him the test laptop and doing the same fix on his.
I will post the results.
