I have a home network using windows xp on a laptop and windows 98 on a desktop.
I'm using a Belkin router with a Motorola cable modem. It's not connected
wireless.
My question is a relative recently bought a motorola wireless network card. It
has an antenna on the back of it and you insert it into your PCI slot. The
computer he wants to hook it up to is in another room than my current 2
computer network. He also is using Windows 98. After installing it using the
software he could not access the internet from his computer, but under the
preferred network area it knew that i was using a Belkin54g.
What are we doing wrong? Do I have to do something with my current network to
add that third computer? I tried using my Belkin software to "add computer" but
I don't think it worked because it didn't sense a third connection to my
router/modem.
Thanks for any help, Tom
