Have new macbook laptop running windows xp sp2 with an existing wireless
(airport extreme) base station. The printer is hooked to usb port on base
station and prints wirelessly when operating with OSX. I've installed the
printer drivers on laptop and printer works fine when hooked directly to
laptop in xp mode, and laptop connects automatically to airport and the
internet, but can't print wirelessly. Ran the wireless wizzard and now the
laptop won't even print when connected straight up. Under the printer
properties the printer is now configured to virtual usb port. Tried changing
back to LPT1 port so could at least print wired to usb, but this didn't
work. Does windos require at least one computer to be wired (ethernet) to
the wireless router to print wirelessly with a laptop or did I miss something
