Wireless PCI adapter lockout

When trying to install a linksys wireless G PCI adapter
(WMP54G)I get a msg that says WMP54G.exe is locked out and
I can't continue with successful intall. Any ideas how to
resolve. Linksys support says I have to contact MS and
unlock OS file
