wireless/NTL setup help needed.

Hi all

I'm trying to set up a friends NTL cable with wireless access. They have a
Linksys wireless access point (one ethernet socket) and a Belkin USB
wireless dongle. Am I right in thinking that the NTL cable box will pick up
the routers MAC address and if set to 'Obtain IP address' the STB will
automatically allocate the IP to the router? But then what do I do to get
the computer to 'see through' the AP?

Any help appreciated

Regards

Stephen

follow the instructions....

the router gets it's MAC FROM the STB, not vica-versa. (see bit on cloning
MAC address in manual)

make sure you have the router set to DHCP
set pc to get auto IP. & turn off winxp(?) firewall

power it all down (mainswall switches off to everything)

repower STB (let it settle)
repower router (let it settle)
boot PC.
check internet etc.
install ZA Free
install AVG anti-virus.
