I tried installing everything and configuring it multiple
times but the WEP key that the base station gives me
isn't accepted when setting up the Notebook adapter.
Anyone have any ideas?

So nobody has any insight to my dilemma?
Maybe if I said "please"?

Need information of what operating system you are using. If you are
using XP, don't use the wizard, use the native wireless zero
configuration. Also try a different 128 HEX key. When you say the key
the base station gives you, how are you establishing the WEP key on
the base station?

Thanks for your response. I am using XP so I'll give
this a shot.

Upon initial setup the base station supplied a "default"
key. Thanks again.
