Wireless Network, WinME to Win98

I am attempting to setup a wireless network to share a
broadband connection. The router (Linksys 802.11b) is
directly connected to the WinME and works fine, but I
cannot get the Win98 to connect at all. In researching
the Linksys website, I noted that the OS spec is for
Win98SE, so I am assuming that is my problem, that at the
least, I might solve my problem by upgrading Win98 to the
Second Edition.

Has anyone experienced this same dilemma? Is an upgrade
the only solution? All help appreciated. Thanks
