What services and protocols do you have on the NIC's?
This is what I have on the NIC's.
1) Client for MS Networks
2) MS File and Print Sharing
3) TCP/IP Internet protocol
That's my current setup on all NIC's and nothing else is on them.
I too had a similar situation where I couldn't share resources with Win 2K
machines wire or wireless with WEP enabled because Netbeui was not a
routable protocol with the Linksys BEFW11S4 v1 router. With WEP disabled,
it was no problem but that was not a good situation. Nor did I have the
problem of resource sharing when the machines were using all wire
connections to the router.
However, I came around the problem at the time by using the MS NWlink
IPX/SPX Netbios compatible protocol on all NIC's removing Netbeui first
before installing MS NWlink protocol and was able to enable WEP and share
resources with machines wired or wireless.
Then I discovered I didn't need MS NWlink and just went with the above setup
on the NIC's when the machines were Win 2K and I have kept that setup on
the NIC(s) when I converted the machines to XP Pro.
Maybe, doing something with the NIC protocols on all machines may allow them
to do resource sharing with the wireless computers.
