You haven't done the wrong thing. Using the wireless connection to
set the router up means that if you make a mistake you may lose
contact with the router. If that happens, you would need to:
- do a hard reset of the router to get back to factory default
settings
- reconfigure the wireless adapter of your PC to the factory
settings to re-establish contact
- start again with your specific configuration settings
Which can be a PITA when you are trying to get 26-digit hex WEP
keys set up correctly. But it is do-able.
