Can anyone help me?

I'm looking to buy a used Linksys WRT54G for £50 (is this a good deal?) and
i would like to use it to connect to my ADSL line. I am currently with
Nilram which use PPPoA. As far as i can gather the WRT54G uses PPPoE.
Can i just purchase a ADSL ethernet modem and connect or do i need to
purchase a wireless AP DSL router that supports PPPoA?

Thanks for any help.

and

£50 for a used WRT54G? That's quite some money. Here in Toronto a brand-new
one is around $109 Canadian which is about £45.

Yes the WRT54G does support PPPoE with your DSL modem with my cable modem.

Well they're about £90 new from Amazon so £50 is OK.

I believe it is possible to hook a WRT54G to an Ethernet modem and use
it with BT ADSL.

There's a discussion about this here
