I have an existing network of 4 PCs all on a wired network. I would like to
move two of these to a wireless network yet retain conectivity to to the
wired network. For example, a wireless PC should still be able to print to
a wired PC serving a printer.

Any help greatly appreciated.

yes it will work I do it with my laptop
I have 3 computers wired and the wireless laptop
You will also retain the ability to connect the wireless back to wired at
any time, I take the wireless PCMCIA card out of my laptop and plug into the
Ethernet slot. Never tried it while it was plugged in, I guess I could
disable the wireless via the software.
I am using XP Pro

What OS are you using?
Is this a laptop you want to use wireless?

ok I got some time to check it out and yes I can use both without pulling
the wireless card out.
I just disabled the wireless card and plugged into to the LAN worked fine. I
then unplugged the LAN card and enabled the wireless using my network
places.

hope this helps

You need a wireless access point and hook it up to the Router you are using
via ethernet cable. You would then setup this computer the same as you
would a wired computer. Make sure they are on the same workgroup and you
will need to assign the computer an IP if you are not using DHCP.

Setting up the access point is usually pretty easy. You will also need to
setup this with an IP address. It will also want a subnet mask and the
Gateway of your Network.

Hopefully this helps

Of course it will work, thats why it is called a network !

Wireless is the medium, as long as your network follows all of the 'rules'
that your wired one follows then it will be fine, and your wireless is a
node on your network just like your wired nodes.

Put an access point into the hub where you have one of your wired
connections now, put wireless card in the pcs that now have wired cards and
it will work.
