Is it possible to set up a wireless connection with an existing dial
up internet account?

If yes, what hardware would you recommend. Ideally I would need a
modem/router and two USB wireless adaptors, running on Win98SE.

Thanks

Presumably you already have the modem. Use the PC as a router/WAP with
Windows Internet Connection Sharing or WinRoute.
