Does anyone of a wireless meter that will tell you how strong a Wifi signal is.
I found NetStumbler but it does not work with a Belkins card.

Doesn't the belkin card come with software that displays this
information?!

I guess I should have done a better job of explaining what I need. My laptop is
wireless to the desktop. The desktop is using a d - link to an antenna that is
wireless to the acess point 1000 ft away. I want to measure the signal between
the antena and the acess point. Net Stumler will not work work on the Belkins
card.

WinC (www.cirond.com) works with Belkin and will measure signal strength
in dBm as an option. If you have a problem with device recognition,
email their customer support-they seem to have a conflict with
netstumbler for the pcandis5.sys version-or rename the existing routine
in windows/system32 before installation.

The free Boingo software will do the job. It works with most cards on Win
95 through 2000. On XP, it is supposed to work with any card, if the card's
properties include the "Wireless Networks" tab.
