So I converted our house to wireless (internet and printer) access,
which is of course great especially since we all have laptops.
My problem is this. When I travel, I never know where exactly to find
wireless access. Yes, I know that most Starbucks have them, and some
McDonalds do as well as some Panera Bread Company is getting (free
access!) on the bandwagon.
Take a day like today. Didn't think that I would need wireless
connectivity as I was just traveling from Bethlehem, PA to Horsham, PA
and figured my Blackberry would be fine. Sure enough I needed to get
online with my laptop. Well at this point I couldn't go online to find a
location nor was their a number (i.e., voice response like ISP's offer
for local access numbers) that I could call, so, I was stuck.
I have checked out the Intel site, but, I don't sense that its updated
very often, plus, I have not figured out a way to download locations for
offline use. I guess in the future this won't be an issue as more and
more places like mentioned above will have wireless access as a standard
item.
In the meantime though, does anyone know of a site that I can regularly
download wireless locations for offline use, and/or any other way to
quickly be able to find an access point when I am already on the road?
Thanks, Scott
