wireless linux - joining clients automatically and executing command

alright everyone, if someone can get this they are GOD. I just thought
of something that would be really time saving at my work.

what if i could setup a linux box with a master mode wireless card
allowing clients to connect to the "wap"? Now imagine if I could have
clients AUTOMATICALLY connect to this wap (meaning w/o prior
configuration on the client computer). Then once the client has joined
the "linux wap", what if i could have the linux wap execute a windows
command on the CLIENT??

Basically, I want an easy way to auto configure 24 laptops at once to
auto connect to a RADIUS cisco access point. The problem is, these
laptops don't have an internet connection to push down the group policy
that would do this for me. So if i could setup an insecure wirless
access point that would allow the laptops purely a connection to my
network and then execute a command on the laptops to auto-configure the
RADIUS network connection onto the laptop. WOW that would be genius.

and i am not one to give up easily on a project.

Someone help me and provide the fuel for this fire!

Thanks! Get thinking!!!

Seems like by the time you got all of this figured out, you could have
walked to each of the 24 computers and configured them.

True. But i'm a programmer at heart and it's what i do.

Plus... I work at a job that requires me to do this about twice a week.
So imagine having to do this to 50 laptops twice a week.

You may now realize why i want a more "automated" way of doing this.
